FUEGO Press: A Spicy Twist on French Press Coffee

FUEGO Press: A Spicy Twist on French Press Coffee

INGREDIENTS
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Boil the water: Fill a kettle with water and bring it to a boil. Alternatively, you can heat the water in a pot on the stove or use an electric kettle.
  2. Preheat the French press: Pour some hot water into the French press to preheat it. This will help keep your coffee hot for longer.
  3. Add J&E Obsidian coffee to the French press: Discard the preheating water and add the coffee grounds to the French press.
  4. Add hot water: Pour the hot water over the coffee grounds, making sure to saturate all of the grounds. Give it a quick stir to ensure that all the grounds are evenly soaked.
  5. Let the coffee brew: Place the plunger on top of the French press but do not press it down. Let the coffee brew for 4-5 minutes.
  6. Press the plunger: Slowly and steadily press down the plunger to separate the brewed coffee from the grounds.
  7. Once the coffee has been separated from the grounds, pour the coffee into two mugs.
  8. Add Delgado's Fuego: Add 1/4 tsp of your preferred Fuego per mug and stir well.
  9. I like my coffee like it is, but experiment with adding other fixings and enjoy!
TIPS
  • Use filtered water to avoid any unwanted flavors from tap water.
  • If the coffee tastes too strong, add a little bit of hot water to dilute it.
  • If the coffee tastes too weak, adjust the amount of coffee used for your next brew.
